GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROCESS OF TESTING

INSIDE A TEST FACITLITY

Test Definition Phase
Based on the system requirements all necessary requirements and data for the test execution are developed:
- test specification
- required test results (including accepted deviations)

Test Development Phase
Based on the test specification:
- development of the test procedures, definition of test   data and expected test results
- definition and preparation of test equipment   (hardware and software)
- definition of test system configurations
This phase is in parallel to the implementation phase of the product.

Test Execution Phase
At the beginning of this phase the test system (rig hardware and software) is configured. The test session is opened and the tests will be executed. The test results and the used test configuration data is stored for further analysis in the test session protocol.

Analyses & Evaluation Phase
In this phase the test results are compared with the expected test results as defined in the Definition Phase. The final appraisal of the results is done by the test team.
